In our daily life, everyone should be very familiar with tapes, and we often use them to stick things. However, most of them use transparent tape, and some are black tapes used by electricians. In fact, it is rare to see fiberglass tape, and even if you see it, you may not recognize it, and there may be a situation where the name does not match the actual object. Today, I will introduce you to fiber tape. Fiber tape uses high-strength glass fiber yarn or cloth as reinforcing material, PET film (OPP film) as base material, and specially configured high-performance pressure-sensitive synthetic rubber as adhesive, and is processed and coated. Common fiber tapes include striped fiber tapes and grid fiber tapes according to the arrangement of fibers. According to the difference in the number of strands and density and the peel strength of the viscose, it can meet the user's various requirements for tensile strength and viscosity of the bundle, and can also be produced according to the needs of the user.
Fiber tape has a wide range of uses and features. It is widely used in household appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, fax machines, metal and plastic fixation, and fixation in the production process of large and small transformers. Common application scenarios of fiberglass tape: First, heavy metal objects and steel wrapping. Due to the particularity of fiberglass tape, it is strong and can be pulled continuously, and can be used instead of ropes. The single-sided fiber tape recommended here can be striped or grid. The second is our common box sealing and packaging. Fiberglass tape should be an upgraded version of transparent tape, with strong packaging, auxiliary packaging, and stronger viscosity. The third is furniture, tooling and equipment fixation and bonding, strong and tough, can be pulled continuously, and durable. Here it is generally recommended to use single-sided fiber tape. The fourth is the fixation of large electrical appliances, which is used in moving some household appliances with moving parts, such as plastic pallets in refrigerators. Fiberglass tape has strong viscosity, tensile resistance and wear resistance. It seals large electrical appliances during transportation to prevent damage due to shaking. And it will not leave any traces of glue, and long-term use of non-residual adhesive tape. The tape used here is residue-free tape designed specifically for temporary fixing of household appliances.
The service life of fiber tape is relatively long, but basic maintenance is also required:
1. Fiber tape should be stored in the warehouse to prevent sun and rain; it should not come into contact with acid, alkali, oil and organic solvents, keep it clean and dry, 1m away from the device, and the room temperature is between -15℃ and 40℃.
2. It is best to use a crane when loading and unloading the conveyor belt, and then use a rigging with a crossbeam to lift it steadily to prevent damage to the belt edge. Avoid rough loading and unloading to cause loose rolls and throw sets.
3. Fiber tape should be placed in rolls, not folded, and should be turned over once a quarter if stored for too long.
4. Fiber tapes of different varieties, specifications, strengths, and layers should not be connected (grouped) together for use.
5. Conveyor belt joints should be hot-vulcanized as much as possible to improve stability and maintain a high effective strength.
6. The types, specifications and models of rubber fiber tapes should be reasonably selected according to application requirements and specific conditions.
7. The conveyor roller diameter of the conveyor and the minimum pulley diameter of the conveyor belt should meet the relevant requirements. When the conveyor is equipped with baffles and cleaning devices, the wear of the fiber belt should be prevented.
8. Do not let the fiber belt snake or creep. Keep the drag roller and vertical roller flexible and the tension should be moderate.
9. When the fiber belt is found to be damaged in the early stage during application, the cause should be found and repaired immediately to prevent adverse effects.
10. Cleanliness is the basic condition for the fiber belt to maintain good operation. External substances will affect the belt eccentricity, tension difference, and even breakage.
